Sorry, didn't realize I hadn't posted since the dr appt.
On week 8, we went to the dr. The appt went well. The dr was nice. He did an ultrasound and we saw the baby. Actually seeing the baby was amazing. Seeing its tiny heart flutter on the screen, knowing that we made this tiny person and it's growing inside of me. Certainly made the pregnancy more real.
Dr said we were about 8.5 weeks along with a due date of Feb 2, 2015. He recommend we get prenatal genetic screening because of my age. I'm doing that this next week. It's a blood test where the lab can separate my DNA from the baby and determine if there are any genetic problems. It can also determine gender. It is done at 10-12 weeks.
I'm now towards the end of week9, no new symptoms, still feel icky in the afternoons, still tired, etc. I really want to poop though. Sorry, I know way TMI. I do miss my very regular BM's.
I think I'll tell people about the pg after the blood test results are in. Not that I suspect anything is wrong, just want so more time.
The wedding is 2 weeks away. We are very excited and are looking forward to the big day. We've skyped with my Aunt who will marry us. She has a plan for the ceremony. Reservations have been made for dinner. I get my dress next Friday. My ring should be done any day.
I still need to get to the mall for a special bra. I've just been too tired or not feeling good. Maybe I should try to get up earlier sand go in the morning since I feel better then. :-)
